Korean Drama
I tried my best to avoid watching Korean drama if some of my friends suggested me. It was not because they were not good. I have several experiences that they are actually extremely good until I could not step on this world anymore.
Somehow the producer/director knows how to create the perfect prince charming.
The actors maybe do not look extremely handsome like Chris Evans, but once you watch the storyline, how the producer makes the act, how he treats the girl and how rich he is, that's where I start to be crazy.
I am not exaggerating but really I experienced myself. At that time it was not K-drama, but Taiwanese Drama : Meteor Garden. I never asked anything expensive to my parents, but apparently the VVIP ticket for the main actors' concert was one of them. I was a junior high school student at that time, with no source of money except from my parents.
I joined alot of stupid quizzes that drained my telephone bills just in case there would be a miracle for me....
Long story short, I got it.
But the point is, why...and how could it be???
I believe they are not selling the handsomeness of the actors. If Dao Ming Shi passed me by, maybe I would just adore him, then leave. But when I know he played as the bad boy rich sweet guy, I might attack him, hug him and kiss him without any dignity on the street, together with hundreds of other girls.... :))
I think they sell a dream. A dream that an ordinary girl can dream of having Mr.Perfect Guy in this life. No matter how poor, ugly, stupid, short, there will be someone who will love you unconditionally.
The latest Korean movie that I watch is Goblin. It was late, very late. My defense not to watch was failed due to my boyfriend's offer to watch it together. I thought it would be okay, and I would be able to control myself. But apparently, what they said is true.....
I would say that the main actor and actress are not the most handsome and prettiest.
But knowing how worthy love is, how adorable their love story is, I am sold.....
What Korean Drama sells is Dream. So that the viewers can live in the other part of the world, feeling the most beautiful things in life.... feeling loved, crying out loud, smiling unconsciously, loving unconditionally..... Feelings that are hard to find nowadays.
People tend to have hidden agenda.
That is why watching Korean Drama is like a heroine.
I want to go to Greece to Song Jong Ki's place, where he brought Song Hye Kyo to the most romantic date...
I want to go to Quebec to visit Gong Yoo's cemetery...
I want to go to Spain where Dao Ming Shi proposed San Chai and had a happy ending there....
Because those kinds of feeling are precious and worth it..... So, Beware before watching it! <3
